The above-captioned matter was scheduled to be heard as a contested case on April 15, 1998 at which time the complainants and the respondents appeared and entered into the following agreement in settlement of the complaint:
i) the respondents acknowledge that on January 18, 1998 the Freedom of Information (FOI) Act was unintentionally violated when they met and conducted interviews on that date;ii) the respondents agree to prepare minutes of the January 18, 1998 meeting;iii) the respondents agree that they will make every effort to not violate the FOI Act in the future.
In light of the above, the following order by the Commission is hereby recommended on the basis of the record concerning the above-captioned complaint:
1. The complaint is dismissed.
2. The Commission heartily commends the complainants, respondents and counsel in this matter on having used their best efforts to resolve their previous dispute.
