FREEDOM OF INFORMATION COMMISSION
OF THE STATE OF CONNECTICUT

In the Matter of a Complaint by FINAL DECISION
Tammy L. Hastings,
  Complainant
  against    Docket #FIC 2005-114

Commissioner, State of Connecticut,

Department of Correction,

  Respondent August 24, 2005

The above-captioned matter was scheduled to be heard as a contested case on July 15, 2005, at which time the respondent appeared, however, the complainant failed to appear.

The following order by the Commission is hereby recommended on the basis of the record concerning the above-captioned complaint:

1.  The complaint is hereby dismissed for failure to prosecute.

2.  The Commission admonishes the complainant for her failure to appear or to communicate with the Commission, prior to the scheduled hearing date that she would not appear.  Such failure to appear has caused the needless expenditure of scarce state resources by this Commission as well as the Department of Correction.

Approved by Order of the Freedom of Information Commission at its regular meeting of August 24, 2005.
