The above-captioned matter was scheduled to be heard as a contested case on January 21, 2000, at which time the respondents appeared, however, the complainant failed to appear to prosecute the complaint.
The
following order by the Commission is hereby recommended on the basis of the
record concerning the above-captioned complaint:
1. The complaint is hereby dismissed with prejudice.
2. The Commission admonishes the complainant for his failure to appear at the scheduled hearing, and more so for his failure and lack of courtesy in not informing the Commission that he would not attend the hearing. The complainant’s apparent total disregard that the Commission, the state of Connecticut, and the respondent town agencies expended valuable and scarce resources in preparing for this hearing is inexcusable.
Approved by Order of the Freedom of Information Commission at its regular meeting of
February 23, 2000.
