against

Docket #FIC 1997-184

Housing Authority, City of New Britain,

Respondents

April 8, 1998

The above-captioned matter was scheduled to be heard as a contested case on February 19, 1998, at which time the complainant and the respondent appeared in order to present testimony and argument on the complaint.

At an informal conference prior to the February 19, 1998 hearing, the complainant and the respondent reached the terms of an agreement in resolution of this contested case, wherein the parties agreed that the Housing Task Force issued notices which had a pattern of gaps and deficiencies concerning matters such as the exact location of meetings. The parties also agreed that the Housing Task Force is no longer in existence. Based upon this agreement, the complainant informed the Commission that he wished to withdraw his complaint.

The Commission warmly commends both the complainant and the respondent for working successfully to negotiate a non-litigated settlement of their earlier differences.

The following order by the Commission is hereby recommended on the basis of the record concerning the above-captioned complaint:

        1. The complaint is hereby dismissed.

Approved by Order of the Freedom of Information Commission at its regular meeting of April 8, 1998.
