FREEDOM OF INFORMATION COMMISSION
OF THE STATE OF CONNECTICUT

FINAL DECISION
Docket #FIC 1997-160
November 12, 1997

In the Matter of a Complaint by Gerald E. Farrell, Sr., Complainant
against
Commanding Officer, Troop F, State of Connecticut, Department of Public Safety, Division of State Police, Respondent

The above-captioned matter was heard as a contested case on September 22, 1997, at which time the complainant and the respondent appeared, and presented testimony and argument on the complaint. During a recess of the September 22, 1997 hearing, the complainant and the respondent discussed the case at an informal conference, and the complainant informed the Commission that he wished to withdraw his complaint.

The Commission warmly commends the parties, and especially the complainant, for working successfully toward a non-litigated settlement of their earlier differences.

The following order by the Commission is hereby recommended on the basis of the record concerning the above-captioned complaint:

1. The complaint is hereby dismissed.

Approved by Order of the Freedom of Information Commission at its regular meeting of November 12, 1997.
