FREEDOM OF INFORMATION COMMISSION
OF THE STATE OF CONNECTICUT

FINAL DECISION
Docket #FIC 1997-045
October 22, 1997

In the Matter of a Complaint by Janice J. Greiser, Complainant
against
Chief of Police, Easton Police Department, Respondent

The above-captioned matter was scheduled to be heard as a contested case on July 1, 1997, at which time the complainant and the respondent appeared in order to present testimony and argument on the complaint.

At an informal conference during the July 1, 1997 hearing, the complainant and the respondent reached the general terms of an agreement in resolution of this contested case. Based upon this agreement, the complainant informed the Commission on August 25, 1997 that she wished to withdraw her complaint.

The Commission commends both the complainant and the respondent for working successfully to negotiate a non-litigated settlement of their earlier differences.

The following order by the Commission is hereby recommended on the basis of the record concerning the above-captioned complaint:

1. The complaint is hereby dismissed.

Approved by Order of the Freedom of Information Commission at its regular meeting of October 22, 1997.
