In the Matter of a Complaint by Howard C. Multer, Complainant

Mark A. Emmert, Chancellor, Office of the Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs, University of Connecticut and the University of Connecticut, Respondents

The above-captioned matter was scheduled to be heard as a contested case on April 23, 1997, at which time the complainant and the respondents appeared. During an off the record conference before the April 23, 1997 hearing, the complainant and the respondents reached an agreement in resolution of this contested case and the complainant informed the Commission that he wished to withdraw his complaint.

The Commission warmly commends both the complainant and the respondents for working successfully to negotiate a non-litigated settlement of their earlier differences.

The following order by the Commission is hereby recommended on the basis of the record concerning the above-captioned complaint:

1. The complaint is hereby dismissed.
