General Manager, Department of Public Utilities of the City of Norwich

 

            Respondent                                                           November 30, 1988

 

            The above‑captioned matter was heard as a contested case on October 14, 1988.  At that time only the respondent appeared.

 

            The following order by the Commission is hereby recommended on the basis of the record concerning the above‑captioned complaint:

 

            1.         The complaint is hereby dismissed.

 

            2.         The Commission regrets that the complainants did not make the effort to notify it that they did not wish to pursue their complaint, inasmuch as their failure to do so resulted in a needless waste of the time of the commissioner, the attorneys, and those persons who traveled from Norwich to testify at the hearing, as well as unnecessary costs to the taxpayers of the State of Connecticut and the City of Norwich.
