                        Complainants,

 

            against              Docket #FIC 82-150

 

Town of Stafford, Board of Education and Superintendent of Schools of the Town of Stafford,

 

                        Respondents,                May 13, 1987

 

            The above-captioned matter was scheduled for hearing April 21, 1987, at which time neither of the parties appeared.

 

            The matter had been scheduled for rehearing pursuant to the remand of Judge Miano in Board of Education of the Town of Stafford, et al. v. Connecticut Freedom of Information Commission, et al., DN 283646, J.D. Hartford, February 28, 1987.  The rehearing of the matter was limited to the issue whether a letter from the attorney for the Stafford Board of Education was exempt from disclosure.

 

            On March 27, 1987, the News Editor of the Journal Inquirer, Robert Boone, notified the Commission by letter that he was no longer interested in litigating the issue whether the letter was exempt.

 

            The following order by the Commission is hereby recommended on the basis of the record concerning the above-captioned matter.

 

            1.  The complaint is hereby dismissed.

 

            Approved by order of the Freedom of Information Commission at its regular meeting of May 13, 1987.
